Second Step

My next step is selecting a story to convert to a video format.

I have an old series that I never did anything with. It isn’t particularly important to me, but it seems like a good place to start. If I screw it up, then it doesn’t matter that much.

If I learn some good skills on it and it turns out okay, then so much the better. And, I haven’t screwed up one of my favorites.

Next I pulled the old files out of the dust. Some haven’t even been opened in eight years.

I did a search of all my old files and backups and found several versions.

Because there were multiple versions I needed to combine them into one document and then cut out the duplicates.

Some of the revisions don’t match. That means it isn’t a case of simply an edit, but of an actual rewrite.

I also need to break from the smooth stream of reading into scene breaks and a shot list. I have to decide on camera angles, lighting, cuts and pauses, transitions,… anything you’d need to consider doing a live shoot.

That all goes into a story board, but before that I am finally at the point of getting help from an AI. I will want one or two AIs to review the script and give commentary.

Then it will be back to the word processor, and then start writing the initial prompts.

It is slow and steady progress, but not easy.
